Artist’s Statement:
I prefer natural subjects for my work — landscapes, seascapes, plants and wildlife. I strive to capture the beauty and variety of nature in images that encourage an emotional response to the world around us, whether it’s the tranquility of a gentle stream, the awe-inspiring grandeur of a majestic alpine vista, or simply a renewed appreciation for the beauty of an everyday object.

About me:
I have been involved in semi-professional photography on and off for over 15 years. I started off shooting air shows, car rallies, and white-water rafting, but over time realized that nature photography was my calling. After starting out with a 35mm film SLR, in 2004 I joined the "digital revolution", and now use exclusively Canon digital equipment to capture my images.
Living in western Washington has given me a great appreciation for the beauty and diversity of the natural world. I grew up in the Seattle area, and spent many happy days as a youth hiking and camping in the mountains, along the beaches, and in the forests of the Northwest. I now seek to capture the splendor of those wild and scenic places in my images. A lifelong native of the region, I currently live in Renton, Washington, with my daughter and three cats.
